Virtual IEP Meetings

IEP meetings are often held virtually. Here is some information on what to expect when attending an IEP virtually.

  • The meeting will be held via Zoom. The Case Manager will send a Doodle poll requesting feedback on dates when you may be available for the meeting. Once the dates are selected, the Case Manager will send you a Zoom link. Simply click on the link and you will enter the virtual meeting room. No special technology is required to attend the meeting.
  • The Case Manager will share the IEP document on screen with the entire IEP team and will make edits as the team discusses each page. In addition, any evaluation reports will also be featured on screen so all IEP team members can see the document.
  • The Case Manager will facilitate the IEP by moving page by page to review the information. Individual IEP team members will be called upon to provide information at different points throughout the meeting over the microphone. Many IEP team members will also be on-screen.
  • At the end of the IEP meeting, the Case Manager will send the IEP document you to sign to indicate that you attended the meeting.

If you have any further questions regarding a student’s upcoming IEP, please contact the student’s Case Manager.
