How to Register Your Student for K-8 Instructional Programs Classes

Registering for TK-8th Grade classes is easy! Parents or HSTs can select classes using the TK-8 Instructional Programs Request Form. This form is in the “choose your own adventure” style, meaning that once you select a grade level, you’ll be directed to choose from all of the available options for that grade. The same form can be used to add, drop, or change classes and to make out-of-grade level class requests.

Our registration team will confirm your enrollment by adding your selected classes to your student portal. We will send a confirmation email showing you how to view this information.

Class fees will be withdrawn from your student’s instructional account twice per year, once in the fall and once in the spring. We will contact you regarding the curriculum, class materials, and supplies ensuring that every student has what they need at the beginning of the semester.

Before registering, you may want to take a moment to explore our programs by viewing the information below.

Out-of-Grade Level Class Requests:
Superstar Readers is available to any Cottonwood Student who is learning to read regardless of grade level.

For students in Boost or RISE, our teachers are well equipped to work with students of all abilities in their classes. Whether your student is working above or below grade level, we welcome them in their grade level class. We encourage students to first consider a grade level placement in their Boost or RISE class before requesting an out of grade level placement.

There are some instances where an out of grade level placement may be considered. Some examples of this would be:

  • a student with an IEP whose SPED team agrees that an out of grade level placement is appropriate.
  • a student with a 504 plan whose 504 team agrees that an out of grade level placement is appropriate.
  • a 7th student who completed a 7th grade math course during their 6th grade year.
  • an 8th student who completed an 8th grade math course during their 7th grade year.

HSTs will work with parents to complete the out-of-grade-level request portion of the TK-8 Instructional Programs Class Request Form.
